My Internship at Equinox Creative

What turned me on to Equinox Creative? Communication.
It all started several months ago when I began my search for an internship for the spring semester of my senior year. As a Communications Studies major, I had a fairly broad spectrum of types of companies I wanted to look at and I began to narrow down my search. I knew I wanted to work somewhere that truly valued communication and understood the importance of not only attempting to get a message across, but doing it in a way that meaningful and effective.
When I found Equinox Creative and began to browse their web-site, I saw several references to communication right away, such as: "Event planners must be experts in strategic communication" and An event designed for face-to-face communication that misses the mark is at best ineffictive, and at worst undermines all the other money you spend to get your message heard." When I saw this I waas thrilled to say the least. The four years that I have spent countless hours studying the importance of face-to-face communication, interpersonal relationships, effective vs. ineffective communication and how to create meaningful experiences through strategic communication really is applicable and valued in "real world" ... Who knew all that reading, paper writing and endless hours of class discussion really would pay off?
